Tips & Techniques For Your
Piano Sheet Music Online

Bookmark it!
Make a new folder in your browser's bookmarks for your sheet music searches, so that you can return quickly and easily to your favorite sites (including this one!) Staying organized is one of the keys to not getting overwhelmed with the world of free sheet music sites.

Print it!
Buy a ream of high-quality, heavier weight printer paper for printing your sheet music. Plain paper will work, but music will be easier to read on heavier paper.

Ink can seep through thinner, all-purpose papers, and can make your music harder to read.

File it!
File your music - otherwise, you'll quickly lose track of what you have and what you don't. I keep my downloaded sheet music in files in my filing cabinet. I have hanging files labeled by composer, and use regular file folders for each composition.

Another way to do this is to use three-ring binders to organize your printed music. You can use acid-free, archival quality page protectors, and if you load your songs in order, front-to-back, you'll have binder 'books' of your music, ready to play!

If you spend just an hour or two per week searching for and downloading piano sheet music online, you can very quickly grow an extensive sheet music collection.

You'll also have the added bonus of learning more about music history, composers, and music styles. What could be better?
