There's something almost magical about the sound of the piano, and especially Christmas music. You'll feel yourself breathing more deeply, feel your shoulders relaxing. A feeling of contentment slowly dissolves your stress.
I've gathered some wonderful instrumental Christmas piano CD recommendations here. Put them on while you're going about your day - even at work! Light a holiday candle and warm up some apple cider.

Jim Brickman
I utterly love Jim Brickman's music. :-)
What I love about Jim's style is that he somehow manages to introduce many layers of complexity with interesting rhythms and unusual harmonies, but without over-arranging the song or losing the familiar melody.
The result is clear, bright piano Christmas music on piano that leaves you happy and relaxed.
If you're a pianist, you'll also be inspired. I bet you'll want to get the sheet music and try playing it yourself. Start out with the easy piano versions, though, unless you're an advanced player -- it's harder to play than it sounds (making that complexity sound simple is part of what I find so amazing).

Jeremy Cays
Straying a bit from pure piano music, I'd like to introduce you to Jeremy Cays. You won't believe it when you hear his music, but Jeremy is only in his early twenties! He comes from a very musical and artistic family and started working on his first album when he was 14. He now runs his own recording studio and teaches. Not only does he play piano, but many of the instruments you hear on his recordings!
I know Jeremy personally. We both taught in Sequim, WA and I had the good fortune to work in his studio with one of my adult students who did some recording for family and friends. Not only is he a terrific musician, but he's an honest, hard-working person who gives back to his community.
His arrangements are heartfelt and beautiful. Among all my stacks of Christmas CDs, Jeremy's is my hands-down favorite. I instantly feel at ease and relaxed. It's a must for that exhausting evening of wrapping presents!

David Lanz
David Lanz is a grammy-nominated piano artist and a legend in new-age piano circles. His music has a light, ethereal, haunting quality. If you're in the mood for something a bit less traditional, with creative harmonies, try David's piano Christmas music.
